Kristy Kay Coleman of Springtown Texas was born on March 6, 1962, and went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday January 3, 2024, after a long and hard-fought battle with breast cancer. Kristy will be forever loved and fondly remembered by her family and friends.

Kristy graduated from Springtown High School where she met and married the love of her life and high school sweetheart, Mark Coleman and raised their two children Rusty and Mishelle. She was a loving, passionate, and devoted wife, mother, and Granny. In her later years, her happiest moments were the times spent with her three grandchildren. Her devoted husband Mark remained by her side throughout her battle. He was her comfort and caregiver to her final day. Kristy will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

She leaves behind her loving husband of 42 years, Mark Coleman; her mother, Ima Moreland; her two children, Rusty Coleman and Mishelle Coleman Hatton; son-in-law, Duke Hatton; her three grandchildren, Jaxon, Colton, and Casen Hatton; niece, Cristen Stork and husband, Logan Stork; nephew, Herbert Safford and wife, LeAnn Safford and their children, Wyatt, Joshua, and Gabriel.

Preceded in passing by her brother, Gary Peters; stepfather, Lester Moreland Sr; and stepbrother, Les Moreland Jr.; nieces, Amanda Safford and April Peters; and nephew Jason Peters.

In respect for her final wishes, no funeral services will be held. A celebration of life will take place with her immediate family and friends. In lieu of flowers, Kristy asked for any contributions to go to New Hope Cemetery Association.
