Lawrence F. Brunello, 81, passed away Saturday, July 13, 2024.

Mass of The Resurrection: 10:30 am, Saturday, August 3, 2024 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church.

Committal w/ Military Honors: 1:00 pm, Monday August 5, 2024 at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery.

Visitation: 6:00 – 8:00 pm, Friday, August 2, 2024 Biggers Funeral Chapel with a Recitation of The Holy Rosary to commence at 7:30 pm.

Memorials:  In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully request, donations may be made to Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Azle, Texas or the Snowball Express Program within the Gary Sinise Foundations.

Lawrence Brunello was born in Ashland, Wisconsin in 1942, the youngest of 5 children to parents, Frank and Mary Brunello who ran a dairy farm.

Larry graduated from J E Murphy High School in Hurley, Wisconsin where he was awarded the Distinguished Graduate honor. He received his BS from the University of Wisconsin – Superior in 1964 where he was in the ROTC and became a pilot for the US Air Force. He married his college sweetheart Sandra in 1965. Larry served in Vietnam during the war and then lived in both Washington and Indiana before being assigned as an Air Force Attaché in Rome, Italy. The family then moved to Arkansas before Larry was promoted to Squadron Commander in Okinawa, Japan. He retired as a Lt. Colonel in Fort Worth after 22 years of service and joined American Airlines continuing his flying career for an additional 16 years. After his second retirement, Larry was able to travel the country in his 5th Wheel and spend most summers up North in his old stomping grounds with family and friends.

Larry was preceded in death by his siblings, Catherine, Louis, and Josephine.

He is survived by his brother, Tony Brunello; wife, Sandra Brunello, and children, Christine (Martin) Shupla, Jennifer Brunello, Andrea (Michael) Rendon, and Daniel (Sandi) Brunello; seven grandchildren – Leif & Serena Shupla; Michaela & Cassandra Rendon; Nathan, Natalie & Nina Brunello.
