Lawrence H. Reed, MSgt United States Air Force (Retired), of Benbrook, Texas, passed away Saturday, January 13, 2024, in Dallas.

He was surrounded by his loving family.

Visitation: 6:00 to 8:00 pm, Wednesday, January 24, 2024, at Biggers Funeral Home.

Committal with Military Honors: 10:30 am, Thursday, January 25, 2024, at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery.

Celebration of His Life: 12:30 pm, Thursday at Biggers Funeral Chapel.

Larry was born in Neptune, New Jersey and raised in Freehold, New Jersey.

He was a twenty-one-year Veteran of the United States Air Force Strategic Air Command and in retirement, a body shop manager for Southwest Ford, Weatherford, Texas.

Larry was a Golden Glove in the Air Force, past President of the Air Force Sargent's Association and a lifetime member of the Elks Lodge #124 in Fort Worth. He loved to build, race cars at Cowtown Speedway, Nascar, darts, bingo, and bowling. He never met a stranger.

Larry is survived by his wife of 63 years, Valerie Reed; his daughters, Shelley Reed Jacobs and Stacey Reed Parnell; grandchildren, Caitlin Watson and husband, Scott, Makenna Reed, Zachary Jacobs, and Skye Parnell; great-grandchildren, Parker, Tyler, Hudson, Haymish, and Cillian; extended family, his sisters, Mildred and Mary Ann, brother, Dennis and sister-in-law, Linda Reed.
