Leota Jackson Lasater, affectionately known as Memaw, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 12, 2025, at the age of 101. She was born on September 7,1923, in Haslet, Texas, to Ben and Farrie Jackson.

Service: 2:00 pm, Saturday, January 18, 2025 at Biggers Funeral Home

Interment: following Service at Dido Cemetery

Visitation: 1:00 - 2:00 PM Saturday, January 18 prior to service

Leota dedicated 24 years of her career to the First National Bank and worked at the Goodwill Corporate office, where she made many lasting friendships. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her family, particularly watching her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren grow up. She was a proud supporter of her local Texas sports teams and cherished every moment spent traveling and creating memories with her loved ones.

Leota was preceded in death by her parents; five siblings; husbands, RJ Forester and Robby Lasater; her son, Jim Forester; and her grandson, Jimmy Ray Forester.

She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Barbara Forester; her grandchildren, Derinda Nickel (Steve) and Dedrea Franklin (Rob); her great-grandchildren, Baillie Adams (Jerome), Christian Franklin, Kennedee Coolbaugh (Tyler), Britten Nickel, Braelyn Nickel, Ryleigh Forester, Hattie Lasater, Sarah Lasater; and 7 great-great-grandchildren.

Leota lived by the motto, "If you need help, ask God. If you don't need a thing, then thank God." Her unwavering faith and dedication to her family were her proudest accomplishments. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her and we cannot wait to be reunited with her again in the presence of Jesus.
