Leslie Eudora (Fowler) Bales, 78 of Azle, went to be with her Lord & Savior on Wednesday, February 14, 2024.

Service: 11:00 am, Friday, March 1, 2024, Azle Christian Church.

Interment: Ash Creek Cemetery, Azle

Visitation: 5:00 - 7:00 pm, Thursday, February 29, 2024, Biggers Funeral Home.

Known affectionately as SIS, she was born on April 7, 1945, to Parents, Gene & Eudora Fowler in Weatherford, Texas. She graduated from Azle High School in 1963 and went on to become a nurse graduating from All Saints Episcopal Vocational Nursing Program in 1965. She served all populations as a nurse first working at Fort Worth Children's Hospital, Azle Manor Nursing Home, James L. West Alzheimer's Center, and Vitas Hospice. She even served as a Director of Nursing for Good Place Assisted Living in North Richland Hills, Texas.

She married Gene Raymond Bales on March 1, 1969. They had three children, Paul, Karon, and Jay. She was a long-time member of Azle Christian Church. Her greatest joys were her grands & greats, always ready to love on anyone in need. She was active in her prayer group and loved her dogs Coco & Tank.

Leslie was preceded in death by parents, Gene & Eudora; husband, Gene; and brother, Don Fowler.

She is survived by her 3 children, Paul Bales & wife, Denisha of Azle, Texas; Karon Boyd & husband, Tony of Euless, Texas; Jay Bales & wife, Terri of Willow Park, Texas; Nephew, Terry Fowler & wife, Denise Fowler of Azle, Texas; Neice, Rhonda Westbrook of New Mexico; Grandchildren: Peyton Laisure, Alan Bales, Randy Bales, Madison Bales, James Paul Bales, and Nolan Bales; Great-Grandchildren: Mya Laisure, Oliver Bales, Aurora Bales, and Scarlett Laisure; and a Great nephew and niece along with numerous cousins.
