Lewis Jorgensen, 80, passed away Tuesday, February 18, 2015, at his home, surrounded by family. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Trinity Baptist Church, 6045 W.J. Boaz Road, Fort Worth. (Note: service was changed from Monday to Friday due to inclement weather.) Lewis was born to Laverne and Herman Jorgensen on October 31, 1934, in Grant, Michigan. In 1957 he married Laura Dean, with whom he moved to Texas and began a family. Laura preceded him to heaven in 2009, after 52 years together. Lewis was a caring father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his son, Jerry Jorgensen; daughter, Jayme Cox and husband, Lindsey; granddaughter, Brittney Horn; grandson, Blake Horn; great-grandsons, Jayden and Lucas Horn; great-granddaughter, Blakely Horn, all of Texas; sister, Pat Throop; and brothers, Maurice, Don and Lester Jorgensen of Michigan.
