Lillie Mae Darnell, 95, passed away Sunday, March 9, 2014, at her home. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Celebration Community Church, 908 Pennsylvania Ave. Interment will be at Laurel Land Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Biggers Funeral Home. Lillie was born March 26, 1918, in Quinlan to Charles and Alta Langston. She was a longtime area resident and loved to play bingo and travel with her sisters to Las Vegas to gamble. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul E. Darnell, on September 29, 1979. She is survived by her children, Dennie Darnell of Alvord and Diane Darnell and Jerry Darnell, both of Azle; sisters, Ola Kingsbury of Fort Worth and Jewel Penn of Tool; grandson, Jerry Darnell II; great-grandson, Brody Ty Darnell.
