Linda Allison, a beacon of warmth and kindness, passed away peacefully Tuesday, June 23, 2026, after a brief but courageous battle with illness. Born on October 19, 1941, in Stephenville, Texas, Linda graced this world with her light for nearly 85 years. Her journey was one of love, dedication, and an unwavering commitment to family and community.

Linda was the cherished daughter of A. L. and Bessie Davis, who predeceased her, along with her beloved son, Don, and many of her treasured plants and flowers. Her legacy, however, lives on through her devoted husband of 66 years, George, who stood by her side through every chapter of their shared life story. Together, they created a loving family, including her daughter Wendy and her spouse Ronnie, her son Jason and his spouse Chelsea, and her four grandsons—Cameron, Jaydon, Cole, and Cai—who were the pride of her life.

Linda's life was a testament to the power of love and community. She graduated from Stephenville High in 1959 and soon after, on July 8, 1960, married George. Together, they built a life filled with laughter, adventure, and deep-rooted family values. Linda pursued dual careers, first as a dedicated Domestic Goddess, who transformed her home into a haven of love and care, and as a Library Assistant at Wayside Middle School, from which she retired in 1999. Her influence in the school was profound, as she created a nurturing environment for the children, ensuring every child felt they had a place to belong.

An active member of the Saginaw United Methodist Church, Linda exemplified the spirit of service. She served as an elder, oversaw the Memorial Garden, and was a cherished member of both the Wednesday morning Quilters Group and the Retired EMS ISD Teachers. Her church community was an extension of her family, and she poured her heart into every role she undertook.

Linda's passions extended beyond her immediate community. An advocate for lifelong learning, Linda was a voracious reader who mastered many hobbies through the years. She had a lifelong desire to travel, finding solace in the cool embrace of Colorado's mountains, far from the Texas heat. Her travels were not just physical journeys but opportunities to connect with others, embodying her belief that everyone needs a place to feel at home.

Her kindness and generosity left an indelible mark on everyone she encountered. With a smile that could light up the darkest room, Linda had an innate ability to make strangers feel like lifelong friends. Her empathetic nature led her to travel great distances to be with friends in need, offering comfort and companionship during their toughest times.

Linda is also survived by her brother, Darwin (fondly known as Shorty), and his spouse Sandi, her sister Patty, niece Tamara, and nephews Coley and Brent. Each family member feels the profound loss of her presence but carries forward her legacy of love and connection.

As we say goodbye to our beloved Linda, we take comfort in knowing that her spirit will continue to guide and inspire us. Her love, her laughter, and her boundless generosity will forever be etched in our hearts.
