Sunday, November 16, 2025, Linda Sue Lyons Wagner, 87, of Fort Worth met her Savior Jesus Christ face to face. She passed from this life into eternity peacefully while surrounded by her family.

Service: 10:00 a.m., Friday, November 21, 2025, Ridglea Baptist Church, 6037 Calmont Ave., Ft. Worth, TX 76116 where she was a member for over 60 years. Pastor Scott Cox will be officiating.

Interment: following service at Greenwood Memorial Park.

Visitation: 9:00 a.m., prior to service.

Memorials: In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Ridglea Baptist Church in honor of the God, family, and ministry she served.

Formerly of Owensboro, Kentucky in Daviess County, Linda Sue was a most anticipated Christmas gift born December 20, 1937, to Daniel Rex Lyons and Juanita Helsley Lyons. She was a loving wife, devoted Mother, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother.

She studied Home Economics at Blue Mountain College in Blue Mountain, Mississippi. Linda spent her life serving others by creating a warm and inviting home where all were welcome. When the microwave was the new-fangled invention sweeping across kitchens of the U.S., she was a Factory Demonstrator for Amana and Litton and taught classes on how this little box would revolutionize meals and family time. She loved trying out new recipes on her guinea pigs – LeRoy and sons.

Undoubtedly, her biggest act of service was using her classical piano skills as the church pianist at Ridglea Baptist for over 30 years. After retiring from that role, Linda stayed active in the Music Ministry by singing in the choir. She loved making a joyful noise unto the Lord.

Mrs. Wagner told stories of how she was self-conscious about her height and what she perceived as her awkwardness when she was growing up. This was only in her mind, because everyone who laid eyes on this knockout saw a beautiful, graceful, and dignified lady. Truly it was this regal, sweet woman with an infectious laugh and legs for miles who caught the eye of the young engineer LeRoy. After a few dates, LeRoy realized Linda was even more lovely, because of her deep, abiding faith in Christ Jesus. This mutual love and faith blessed them with three sons. They were married for 39 years, living a full life and bequeathing a godly heritage to their family who all established roots in Fort Worth.

Linda Sue Lyons Wagner was a woman of faith, love and integrity. She was joy and safety to all who knew her. Grounded in her belief in Jesus Christ, she was not afraid to share her faith. Her gentle heart will be fondly remembered. When Dementia took her mind, it could not take her spirit nor sparkle. Toward the end, when she did not know who was visiting her, she would still flash that brilliant Kentucky Belle smile, making you feel like you were the only one in the whole world she had been waiting all her life to see. Linda loved everyone, and everyone loved her.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents Daniel and Juanita Lyons; husband, LeRoy Walter Wagner; and sister-in-law, Maybelle Lyons.

She is survived by her brother, Thomas Lyons of League City, Texas; her sister, Sally Macklin of Houston, Texas; her sons, Byron Wagner and wife, Elefteria, Stephen Wagner and wife, Rachelle, and Bruce Wagner and wife, Amy Jo; grandchildren, Jenica Studenny and husband, Alex, Chandler Wagner, Brittney Wagner, Brendan Wagner and wife, Alyssa, Matthew Wagner and wife, Taylor, Nicholas Wagner and wife, Ashley of Washington, Alexandria Wagner, Linda (Caroline) Wagner, Olivia Wagner and fiancé, Chad Hutchinson, and Texana Wagner; she also leaves her legacy behind in eight great-grandchildren, Peyton, Liam, Claire, Logan, Oliver, Casey, Zaharina, and Jack, and many beloved nieces and great nieces/nephews.
