Lonnie Charles Nickens, 70, of Joshua, passed away Saturday, November 11, 2017, surrounded by his family. Lonnie was born December 23, 1946 in Nashville, Tennessee to Thomas Sr. and Mary Hicks Nickens. He was raised in and around Nashville and, after a stint in the Air Force, called Dallas/Ft Worth home for the majority of the remainder of his life. He was an avid wrestling fan, action movie buff, and lifelong grease monkey. He will be missed. Survivors: Son, Michael Nickens and wife, Stephanie; son, Russell Nickens; son, Matthew Nickens and wife, Theresa; sister, Alice Nickens Duggin of Nashville, Tennessee; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
