Loreta J. Ewing, 74, passed away Saturday, April 12, 2014.A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday in Azleland Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Biggers Funeral Home.The family requests memorials to The Arthritis Foundation of North Texas, 4300 MacArthur Ave., #245, Dallas, Texas 75209.Loreta was born June 12, 1939, in Waurika, Oklahoma, to Marvin and Faye Sumpter. She lived most of her life in the Fort Worth area and was a 1957 graduate of Birdville High School. She was an office manager for Manpower and Jess Temporaries, and later owned her own wedding business for 17 years before retiring.Loreta was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend. She will be missed by all who knew her.She was preceded in death by her husband, Lynn R. Ewing, on July 5, 2012.She is survived by her daughters, Monica Shearer and husband, David, of Azle, Darla Wyatt and husband, Timbo, of Azle and Lori Semmler and husband, Tim, of Fort Worth; sister, Marlene Sevier and husband, Jerry, of Austin; grandchildren, Staci Soriano, Wesley Wyatt, Sara Potter, Whitney Wyatt, Amanda Rose and Jason Semmler; nine great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
