Obituary

Loyd Lee Bailey, 79, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 26, 2014, with his loving family at his side. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Biggers Funeral Chapel. Interment will be in Aurora Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, Box 11454, Alexandria, Va. 22312; American Kidney Fund, 11921 Rockville Pike, Suite 300, Rockville, Md. 20852; or Trinity Baptist Church, 620 Churchill Road, Fort Worth, Texas 76114. Over the course of his life, he was a brick mason, volunteer firefighter and police officer. He served the city of River Oaks as a police officer, the city of Keller as chief of police and, in his later years, he was mayor of Reno, where the city hall is named in his honor. He was preceded in death by his parents, W.R. and Rushie Bailey; and his wife, Mary Ruth Bailey. He is survived by his sister, Patricia Langston of River Oaks; children, Vonda Head and husband, Michael, of Colleyville, Michael Bailey and wife, Amanda, of Flower Mound and Mark Bailey and wife, Jennifer, of Azle; grandchildren, Bryan Head, Collin Bailey, Charles Head, Kendall Bailey and Tristan Bailey; niece, Lisa Capers; nephew, Ricky Langston; stepdaughters, Chris Seely-Tepfer, Cathy Miller, Becky Diaz and Penny Sanders and their families; former wives, Charlene Faulkner and Mary Ann Austin; many friends; and other extended family.
