Lynn R. Ewing, 76, passed away Thursday, July 5, 2012, in Fort Worth. Private committal: 10:30 a.m. Sunday in Azleland Memorial Park. Visitation: 6:30 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Biggers Funeral Home. Memorials: Memorial gifts may be made to the American Cancer Society, 3301 West Freeway, Fort Worth, Texas 76107. Lynn was born in Henderson and had lived in Fort Worth most of his life. He graduated from Lake Worth High School in 1953 and attended Texas Wesleyan College. He worked in instrument engineering at Convair, General Dynamics and Lockheed before retiring. Lynn was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great- grandfather and friend. He will be missed by all who knew him. He is survived by: His wife, Loreta Sumpter Ewing; children, Monica Shearer and husband, David, of Azle, Darla Wyatt and husband, Timbo, of Azle, Lori Semmler and husband, Tim, of Arlington; brother, John R. Ewing of Azle; sister, Jeannine Hook of Fort Worth; grandchildren, Staci Soriano, Wesley Wyatt, Sara Potter, Whitney Wyatt, Amanda Ooten and Pvt. Jason Semmler; five great-grandchildren; a number of other family members; and many friends.
