Mabel Grace Smith passed away on December 25, 2020. Memorial service: 2 p.m. Sunday, January 3, 2020 in Biggers Funeral Chapel. Memorials: In lieu of flowers please make donations in Mabel's honor to the Alzheimer's Association at alz.org or the SPCA at spca.org. Mabel was born November 23, 1926 in Dover, Ark. to the late Marvin Luther and Bethie Willie Youngblood Johnston. She enjoyed traveling and going to the casino but most of all she loved to fish. Mabel and her late husband, Robert showed horses professionally and later in life raised mini ponies. The shows took them to many different places over the years. They spent many years living on a ten-thousand acre ranch in St. Jo. Mabel was happy, easy going lady that loved spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and siblings. Survivors: Son, Gary L. Smith and wife, Dehn; daughter, Brenda K. Emmertt; grandchildren, Christopher Smith and wife, Shelley, Jennifer Bales and husband, Beau, and Mason, Brooks, and Katie Tompkins; many great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
