Marguerette Juanice Adams, 86, passed from this life into the arms of her Savior on July 27, 2018, Service: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at Biggers Funeral Chapel. Committal: 1 p.m. Thursday at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Marguerette Juanice Adams was born in Eastland, Texas on May 24, 1932. Juanice was the youngest of six children born to John Lee and Lillian Ruth Bishop. Juanice graduated from Cross Plains High School in 1949. She attended Hardin-Simmons University and later graduated from Drahns Business College. She worked for Gulf Oil in Houston, Texas before marrying Tom Adams on July 14, 1956. Juanice was the mother of two daughters, Carole Juanice and Tomi Cheri. Juanice was very active in various ministries and activities of the churches she attended throughout her life. She served as President of the Womens Missionary Union (WMU), WMU missions education coordinator, and taught Vacation Bible School and Sunday School. She was especially gifted at leading children to know Jesus as their Savior. She worked as the secretary for the chief of detectives for the Odessa Police Department before her daughters were born, and occasionally worked as secretary at First Baptist Church, Andrews while a member there. She went on most choir trips, picnics, and some contest trips during her husbands tenure as Choral Director at Andrews High School, becoming a much-loved part of his students lives. After raising two girls, she became an award-winning displayer for Home Interiors and Gifts, Inc. Juanice was preceded in death by her parents Lee and Ruth Bishop, who were married for almost 55 years before their deaths; two sisters Lillian Lee Beamon and Nelda Myrle Sullivan; a brother, Eugene Dale Bishop; and a sister and brother who died in infancy, Betty Joy and Charles Kenneth Bishop. Survivors: She is survived by her husband of 62 years; her daughter and son-in law, Carole and Perry Boyd of Azle, TX; daughter, Cherie Williamson of Abilene, four grandchildren, Taylor Boyd, Kelli Griffin, and husband, Jacob, Trevor Boyd, and wife, Micaela, and Nathan Williamson; five greatgrandchildren, Christian, Witten, and McKenna Boyd and Alexia and Olivia Griffin; many nieces, nephews, and cousins who were all so loved by their Aunt Ecie/Nonnie/Juanice.
