Marion was born on August 14, 1932, to Michael Chudoba and Helen Bambush in Reno, Alberta, Canada. She and her husband, John Marcus Crawford, were married for 66 years before his passing in 2019.

Marion met John Crawford when he was working in Canada. She and a friend went to a local dance, and many of the men working on the pipeline were also in attendance. After John went home, he and Marion continued to correspond. When he asked her to marry him, she wanted to meet his family first. She rode to Texas with one of his older brothers and his wife, and they got married within a few days of Marion coming to Texas.

Marion and John raised their three boys in Fort Worth and North Richland Hills, living in the same home for more than 60 years. They were active members of the St. Timothy Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Bedford, Texas, for many years.

Marion was a gracious hostess who loved cooking and baking for family and friends. She and John explored many areas of the United States and Canada in their camper. Marion was very creative, spending some of her leisure time painting, crocheting, working puzzles, and attending to her many houseplants. She and John loved to host card game nights with their friends, who also accompanied them on many of their travels. For several years, Marion volunteered at the North Hills Hospital, helping to comfort patients who were recovering from surgery.

Marion leaves behind three sons: Kerry and wife, Bonnie, Brad and wife, Jodi, and Scott and wife, Sandy; seven grandchildren: Eric and wife, Liz Crawford, Michelle Crawford, Michael Crawford, Shannon and husband, Will Caughey, Kelly and husband, Jacob Flores, Cathleen and husband Joseph McCleskey, and Rachel Crawford; and four great-grandchildren: Thelonious Crawford, Paige Caughey, Gavin Caughey, and James Caughey; her two sisters: Pearl Klotz of Reno, Alberta, and Kathy Brillon of Calgary, Alberta.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, two siblings: Jennie Toker and Pauline Popowich, and three half-siblings: Paul, Bill, and Tony Dobransky.
