In the afternoon of Tuesday, August 12, 2025, Mark Edwin Keeton passed away, surrounded by loved ones. Mark was born on December 17, 1958. He retired from Lockheed Martin after nearly 40 years of service as a Technical Writer.

Service: 2:00 pm, Friday, August 22, 2025 in Biggers Funeral Chapel.

Interment: following service at Aurora Cemetery

Visitation: 6:00 – 8:00 pm, Thursday, August 21, 2025 at Biggers Funeral Home.

Mark would say his greatest achievement in life was becoming a husband and father. His love for his family was evident to all, and he will be greatly missed. He saw life as a gift that should never be taken for granted and looked for any opportunity to help others…..No matter what.

Mark is survived by his beloved wife, Karen Keeton; children, Jessica McCarty, Andrew Keeton; son-in-law, Mike McCarty; two grandchildren, Ava and Liliana McCarty; brothers, Michael and Tony Keeton; sisters, Angie Keeton-Ware, Rhonda Keeton-Alexander-Hughes; and stepmother, Marilyn Keeton.

He was preceded in death by parents, Claudie Gene Keeton, Sybil Rea Keeton, and sister, Shyrell Alderson.
