Martha Adell Faulk was born on June 10, 1938 to Morris and Etta Alldredge in Fort Worth, Texas and passed from this life on Thursday, May 8, 2025, age 86 years.

Service: 11:00 a.m., Friday, May 16, 2025, First Baptist Church of Lakeside

Interment: 2:30 p.m., Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, Dallas, Texas.

Visitation: 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Thursday, May 15, 2025 at Biggers Funeral Home.

Adell's childhood was not easy and she was twice placed in an orphanage. As a young teenager she contracted polio. To aid in her recovery, she walked to the local skating rink every day and skated to regain her strength and mobility. The difficulties make her the strong and determined woman she later became.

In 1954, she met a young airman stationed at Carswell Air Force Base named Curtis Faulk and fell in love. They were married on February 1, 1954. As a faithful military wife, she followed her husband to wherever he was assigned state side. Once while stationed in Massachusetts, she was a DJ on her own radio program playing country music as "Southern Sal". She and Curtis were avid bowlers and played in several leagues and even served as coaches teaching children how to bowl. When Curtis retired, he opened Curtis's Lake Worth Marine and repaired boats and motors, with Adell managing the office. At that time, she had a racing boat and drove it in many races on area lakes.

She loved to hunt and on one trip to their deer lease she bagged a prized 14-point buck. Adell and Curtis were members of the Order of the Eastern Star where she served as Worthy Matron of Castleberry Chapter #1028. Despite her very active life she was a loving and devoted mother to her children and extended family. Late in life her goal was to travel to Israel and visit the places where her Lord and Savior walked. Although she never made that trip, her family takes comfort in knowing the fact that she walks in Heaven with her Lord today.

Adell was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Curtis Lenwood Faulk; her son, Curtis Lenwood Faulk, Jr.; daughters, Jill Audrey McClain and Judy Andrea Mertz; her sister, Mary Etta DeLaune; and her brother, Morris "Buddy" Alldredge, Jr.

She is survived by her daughter, Karen Pribble and husband, John; her sons, Perry Faulk and Scott Faulk; daughter-in-law, Diane Faulk; sister, Maureen Grayson; nine grandchildren and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
