Marty Layne Long, 64, of Fort Worth, Texas, passed away Friday, March 6, 2026.

Memorial Service: 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 17, 2026, Trinity Baptist Temple, 6045

W. J. Boaz Road, Fort Worth, Texas 76179.

Visitation: 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Monday, March 16, 2026, Triinity Baptist Temple.

Memorials: Flowers are welcome and may be sent to the church in honor of Marty.

Marty was born January 26, 1962, in Fort Worth, Texas, to Robert and Sue Long. He graduated from Boswell High School and spent the majority of his career working as a lineman, where he took great pride in his work and dedication to safety.

Marty enjoyed many hobbies throughout his life, including dirt track racing, golfing, and fishing. He was known for his big smile and friendly personality, and he truly never met a stranger. He was a proud and loving father and a cherished "PawPaw" to his grandchildren, who meant the world to him.

Marty was a member of Trinity Baptist Temple and found great comfort in his faith. He was saved and had the assurance of eternal life through Jesus Christ, a hope that brought him peace and strength throughout his life.

Marty is survived by his daughters, Krystin Rogers (Justin) and Chelsea Polanco (John); his son, Kyle Long (Mandy); and his beloved grandchildren, Ethan, Camden, Hayden, Blake, Logan, Lucas, Kason, John Ray, Eli, Nolan, and Jaycee; and many dear friends who will miss him greatly.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Timmie Long; his brother, Tracy Long; and his parents, Robert and Sue Long.
