It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mary Guadalupe Pittman, who left this world on December 24, 2023.

Mary was born on March 2, 1933, and departed from us at the age of 90. She was a beloved wife, mother, aunt, cousin and perhaps her favorite and most cherished role grandma. She was a vibrant woman who fiercely loved her family and was a source of joy, love, and care for all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Mary knew no stranger as she opened her home to anyone and everyone that needed a place to feel belonging. She is widely recognized as "Mama Pittman," a title that beautifully captures the nurturing and caring essence she offered to countless individuals.
She was known for her love of dancing, cooking, and music from the greats like Nat King Cole, Benny Goodman, Fred Astaire, and Frank Sinatra. Mary's lively spirit shined brightest in the presence of a mariachi band, creating an atmosphere filled with smiles, dancing, and the joyous clinking of tequila glasses.
Mary is survived by a loving and devoted family who will forever cherish the memories shared with her. She is survived by her sons, Joe Andrew Pittman III, and George Fredrick Pittman and wife, Nicole Pittman and she leaves behind a legacy of love that will endure through them; additionally, her grandchildren, Jason Pittman, Joe Pittman IV and Cynthia Flores, James Pittman and wife, Emerald, Derek Pittman, Gina Henze and husband, David, Annette Crivellaro and husband, Christian, Angela Morrison and husband, Ryan, and Jonathan Pittman, who brought immeasurable joy into her life; twelve great-grandchildren; Jaycob Pittman, Alyssa Pittman, Selena Pittman, Penelope Pittman, Scarlett Pittman, Hudson Morrison, Ainsley Henze, Clementine Pittman, Kate Henze, Bishop Pittman, Savannah Morrison, and Luciano Crivellaro.
Mary Pittman has now found eternal peace and is reunited with beloved family members who preceded her in death. Among those welcoming her into heaven are her
mother, Josefina Baca, her husband, Joe Andrew Pittman Jr., and her youngest son, Richard "Gus" Pittman. Together, they find solace and joy in each other's company.
Friends and family will be invited to join in commemorating her life and offering support to one another during this difficult time.
May Mary Guadalupe Pittman rest in eternal peace, and may her memory be a source of comfort and inspiration to us all.
