Mary Lavelle Sanders, 80, a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully Monday, April 27, 2015. Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Thursday in Biggers Funeral Chapel. Interment will be at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Mary was born January 25, 1935, in Fort Worth to William O. and Viola M. Lancaster. She worked as a bookkeeper at several local companies. Mary was a charter member of Northwest Church of Christ. Through the early years, she volunteered at Christ Haven and always had a love for children. The numerous family members and friends will miss her. She is survived by her husband, Harold Sanders; daughter, Vickie Cothran and husband, Lee; sons, Ricky King and wife, Becky, and Larry King and wife, Nita; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
