Maxine "Max" Prater was born July 27,1940 and went to be with our Lord on Saturday, May 11, 2024.

Celebration of Her Life:  6:00 pm , Sunday, May 19, 2024, On The Patio, 501 N. Stewart, Azle, Texas 76020.

Committal:  10:15 am, Wednesday, May 22, 2024, Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery.

Maxine was loved and known by many. She was a gardener with a green thumb, a Pro-Bowler in her prime, and if you ever ate a "beefer burger" on Jacksboro Highway, then "Max" made it for you; she served 'em up for 30 years. Her favorite color was purple, and she wore it well.

Maxine was preceded in death by her parents; two children, Doris and Donnie; her brother, Douglas; granddaughter, Jessica; and a great-granddaughter, Ellie.

She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Don; her children, Robert and wife, Terri, Viola, Jackie, Kay and husband, Richard; eight grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren.

She left this world as she lived it, fearless of death and at peace, surrounded by a host of family and friends. She will be missed.
