Melissa Anne Curry, 43, passed away on Saturday, December 14, 2024, in her home in Bedford, Texas.

Celebration of Her Life: 3:00 pm on Saturday, January 25, 2025, in Biggers Funeral Chapel, 6100 Azle Ave, Fort Worth, Texas 76135.

Melissa was born in Fort Worth on December 21, 1980, to Gary W. and Carole J. Curry. After graduating from Haltom High School, Melissa attended Texas Tech University to study music. Upon moving back home and joining the workforce, she started a family. While her children were young, she was actively involved in their schools, classrooms, and the PTA, investing in their early interest in choir and the arts.

Melissa was a talented singer who loved all things music. For several years, she worked at the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra. In the final years of her life, she avidly supported the local metal and other genres of the music scene, including taking on the role of venue director and part owner at Big Rob's in Euless and The Rail in Fort Worth. She is remembered for her unwavering support and promotion of numerous local musicians, helping to create their success beyond her music venues.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Carole Curry; her grandparents, James and Geneva Curry and Raymond and Carole Ellery.

Melissa is survived by her father, Gary Curry, and his wife, Toni; her partner, Terry Johnson; her children, Madison Berry, Colton Berry, and Matthew Berry; her siblings, Timothy Curry and his wife, Tracey; Tamara Curry and her husband, Patrick Mata; and Brian Curry and his wife, Lindsey. She also leaves behind twelve aunts and uncles, numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Melissa's legacy of love, music, and dedication to her family and community will live on in the hearts of those who knew her.
