Michael David Curran, 69, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on Sunday, May 15, 2016.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 18, in Biggers Funeral Chapel. Committal with military honors will be at 2 p.m. in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. The family will be present to receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
The son of David and Eddie Faye Curran, Michael was born in Fort Worth on January 3, 1947. Michael and his wife, Betty, were married July 8, 1967. Michael served our country in the U.S. Air Force from 1967-1971. Post military, he was a varsity basketball coach from 1979 in Alvord, Bryson, Graford, and Fort Worth Brewer until his retirement in 2003.
Michael is survived by his wife, Betty Norman Curran; daughter, Shelly Avalos and her husband, Danny; son, Scott and his wife, Chaney; brother, Randy Curran and his wife, Annette; grandchildren, Victoria and Cole Avalos; and numerous other relatives and friends.
