Ruth was a member of Trinity Valley Quilters Guild and was a longtime member of First United Methodist Church of Azle. She enjoyed quilting, antiquing and collecting all things related to chickens and folk art. Ruth's Lord's Acre quilts were legendary for church fundraising; and her peach cobblers were loved by all. Ruth loved the Lord and was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and giving friend who will be greatly missed. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Don, and her parents, Clifford and Marie Brister. Survivors are her children, Gordon and his wife, Sheri Autry (Standish, ME), Terry and his wife, Vickie Autry (Denver, CO), and Susan Autry (Dallas, TX); grandchildren, Adam, Anna Marie, Garrett, Shane, C.J., and Ben Autry; and a loving extended family and church family.
