Tony passed from this life and entered his heavenly home on Wednesday, October 18, 2023.

Celebration of His Life: 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 28, 2023 at First Baptist Church of Lakeside.

He was born and raised in Fort Worth on Dec 9, 1934 to Theodore and Kathryn Pappas.  He was the eighth child of a family of nine children. Tony was a father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

He married his forever love, Janet, in August 1954 and they celebrated 68 years together.  They lived in Azle for most of these years.  He enlisted in the US Air Force at the age of 18 and was in the 301st and faithfully served our country for over 25 years, was in Civil Service and the Reserves for many years and worked at Bell Helicopter before retiring.

Tony enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling, playing dominos and hanging out with the "Caleb's Cousins" group, where he was always known to be the first in line when it came to eating. He enjoyed playing with his six great-grandkids and will be greatly missed.

Tony is survived by his daughter, Debbie Crawford; grandsons, Chad (Leslie) and Clint (Whitney); six great-grandchildren, Harper, Hunter, Henry, Addison, Keller and Cooper Crawford; sister, Sophie Garbin (Tom); sister in-law, Evelyn, and brother in-law, Dale.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Janet; son, Carl Pappas; six sisters, Irene, Stella, Helen, Chris, Alice and Lou; and one brother, Ted.
