RIVER OAKS Nona Pearl Herod McDaniel, 90, passed away Friday, January 4, 2013, following a long illness. A memorial service is pending at Lighthouse Fellowship, 7200 Robertson Road, Fort Worth. Nona was born September 19, 1922, in Dallas, the first of four children of Jesse Garrison Herod and Pearl May Qualls Herod. She owned her own accounting business in Waco for many years. On Febuary 27, 2000, she was married to Thomas B. McDaniel at Lake Worth United Methodist Church. The family would like to thank Community Hospice for the love and care that they provided to Nona. She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers. She is survived by her husband, Thomas McDaniel of River Oaks; "little sister," Joyce Herod; numerous nieces and nephews.
