Nora Anne Applewhite, 91, of Fort Worth, Texas, passed away on Friday, June 7, 2024.
Service: 12 noon, Thursday, June 13, 2024, Biggers Funeral Chapel.
Interment: Greenwood Memorial Park, Fort Worth, Texas.
Visitation: 11 am to 12 noon, prior to the Service
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully request donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association or Champion Home Health Hospice.
She was born on March 22, 1933, in Paris, Texas, to the late Oma Lois Chapman Henry and Samuel Venson "Leck" Henry.
Anne, a talented lady with a passion for learning, excelled in various fields including secretarial work, painting, cooking (even taking classes in France), and beauty. She imparted her culinary skills to her children from a young age, with her biscuits and pie crusts being unrivaled. Anne was a devoted mother, always advocating for her children when needed.
She is survived by her loving husband, Brooks Steven Applewhite of Fort Worth, Texas; daughters, Deborah Perry Peters and husband, Steven of Lahaina, HI, and Wynn Ann Hayden and husband, Michael of Myrtle Beach, SC; sons, Larry Michael Applewhite and wife, Delores of Fort Worth, TX, and Tony Applewhite and wife, Diane of Royston, GA.; eleven grandchildren and twenty-one great-grandchildren.
Nora was preceded in death by her son, Donald W Perry, and parents, Oma and Leck Henry; as well as, her three sisters.
