Pat was born August 13, 1932 in Weatherford, Texas to her parents, Siebelt Marion and Margaret Mary O'Brien McCarthy. She spent most of her childhood years in Slaton, Texas, where she attended school. In her adult years, she moved to Fort Worth to attend nursing school at Saint Joseph Hospital School of Nursing and soon became a registered nurse for Saint Joseph Hospital, working in the surgery unit. With a little meddling Catholic nun in the middle of her business, it was there that she met the love of her life, Bobby James "Bob" McWilliams.
On September 25, 1951, Bob and Pat were married at Saint Mary's Catholic Church in Fort Worth's medical district, starting a whirlwind life together. Pat continued to work in surgery at Saint Joseph's Hospital her entire life, eventually retiring when the hospital was sold and closed. She was blessed with many friendships throughout her years there.
She was a member of Saint Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church for over 65 years and was highly active in its many endeavors.
In her retirement years, she and Bob spent numerous hours at "the farm" in Weatherford where they would always have a large garden and raise their cattle and donkeys. They were blessed to have the ability to travel extensively through the years, having enjoyed multiple trips to Europe, the Middle East, Holy Land, Egypt, Hawaii, many cruises, and even an exotic month-long trip to India, travelling from the Himalayas to the far southern tip of the country.
Pat was preceded in death by her husband of 58 ½ years, Bob; by her son, Michael James McWilliams; a grandson, Daniel Wayne Biggers, and a great-granddaughter, Alyssa Nikol Jackson.
Survivors: Pat is survived by her daughters, Patricia Grudosky and her husband, Jim of Saginaw, Theresa Biggers and her husband, Gary of Lakeside; sons, Stephen McWilliams and his wife, Jana of Arlington, John McWilliams and his wife, Denise of Springtown, and Brian McWilliams of Lake Worth; grandchildren, Kelli, Kati and Kevin, Keith, Chris and Jennifer, Marian, R.J. and Stephen, Kathleen and Angela; numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren; and a special family friend, Dennis Kossakowski.
