Obituary

Ozella "Babe" Robason passed peacefully at 91 years old in the care of her family on Wednesday, June 21, 2023 in Plano, TX. Born Ozella Evora Hefley on July 20, 1931 in Fort Worth, TX to her father John Henry Hefley and Mollie Dona Hefley, she was the baby of six which included William "Dub" Hefley, Ann Studdard, Doris Campbell, Imogene Peugh and Bill Hefley.

She was married to Charles "Sandy" Robason, who prematurely passed only a few years into marriage. Becoming a single parent during early motherhood, she dedicated her life to raising their two daughters, alongside being a loving aunt to many nieces and nephews. Babe was rarely without the company of her most trusted sidekick, best friend, and sister Gene Peugh. These steadfast ladies continuously modeled for the younger women in their life what it meant to be independent, strong, and confident. As an active resident of Lake Worth for almost 60 years and a woman who many looked up to, she supported girls' softball, pee-wee sports and rarely missed a High School football game or pep-rally. Babe's heart for sports, however, beat most passionately for the Dallas Cowboys, Texas Rangers, and Dallas Mavericks.

While spending many years of employment at a local department store, Stripling Cox, she developed vivacious friendships with her co-workers. Leading the charge of this sassy group, Babe made sure every holiday was spent in full-on festive costumes to match. Babe's love for others grew even further when her favorite son-in-love joined the family in 1988 to her youngest Sandy. This union brought two granddaughters who referred to her as Babe-o, and whom she devotedly spoiled with desserts and cheered on at every sporting event and piano recital.

Babe was preceded in death by her parents, her brother William "Dub" Hefley, sister Doris Campbell, sister Ann Studdard, brother Bill Hefley, and her husband Charles "Sandy" Robason.

She is survived by her daughters Shelia Renee Robason of Fort Worth, TX and Sandy Robason Roberts and husband James of Plano, TX and her sister Imogene Peugh of Irving, TX. She is also survived by two granddaughters Georgia Roberts Witt and husband Marshall of Little Rock, AR and Loey Noel Roberts of Plano, TX, along with many nieces and nephews. Services will be held on Wednesday June 28th, 2023, at 11am at Biggers Funeral Home 6100 Azle Ave. Fort Worth, TX 76135.
