Patricia Ruth "Patsy" O'Donnell , 80, passed away peacefully at her home in Bedford on December 21, 2017, after a brave and dignified battle with cancer. Her daughter Lynn Ash Benardello and longtime friend Mary Blasingame Forkner were by her side. Memorial Celebration of Life: 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 13, 2018 in Biggers Funeral Home Chapel. Patsy was born and raised in Azle, Texas. She attended Azle High School and graduated Summa cum laude from Texas Wesleyan University. She taught business courses at Azle High School 1976-1979, and then retired from a 32 year career as a Legal Administrator in 2011. Patsy was a member of The Hills Church and Beta Sigma Phi. She was preceded in death by her son, Robert Wayne "Rob" Ash and husband, Rory Francis O'Donnell. Survivors: Patsy is survived by her daughter, Lynn Ash Benardello of North Richland Hills; sister, Millie Smelley of Fort Worth; brother, Roy Chance of Weatherford; step-children, Denise O'Donnell of Wisconsin, Dr. Tim O'Donnell and wife, Brooke, and Rory O'Donnell II and wife, Jill of Ohio; daughter-in-law, Cathy Ash of Bowie; son in-law, Matthew Cleckner of Ohio; 12 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren (with one on the way); and numerous extended family and friends.
