Pauline Marie Guidi 1945 – 2025 Pauline Marie Guidi, 80, of Rockwall, Texas, passed away peacefully Saturday, December 27, 2025, after a brief but courageous journey with cholangiocarcinoma. She was surrounded by love and carried that love with her always.

A Memorial Service and Celebration of Life will be held in Connecticut later this year. Pauline and Frank will be laid to rest together at St. Mary's Cemetery on Beach Park Road in Clinton, Connecticut.

Pauline's greatest joy in life was her family. She was married to the love of her life, Frank, for 54 years before his passing in 2021. Together, they built a life rooted in faith, devotion, resilience, laughter, and deep partnership. They shared life's happiest moments and endured its hardest, including the heartbreaking loss of their son, Jeffrey, at the age of 14—always facing each chapter side by side, with steadfast love.

Born in Lawrence, Massachusetts, Pauline grew up in a close-knit, blue-collar Italian immigrant neighborhood. Her childhood was filled with family—parents, brother, cousins, and her cherished Nanna e Nannu. Summers were spent at the beaches of Cape Ann with a large extended family and her beloved dog, Rosie, memories that stayed with her for a lifetime.

When her family moved to West Hempstead, New York, Pauline embraced her new world with curiosity and confidence—quickly learning that "tonic" was called "soda" and that her New England accent needed some softening. At William Carey High School, she stood out for her sharp mind, strong opinions, and unmistakable red-headed spirit. She loved a good debate (especially about the JFK–Nixon election) and famously taught herself how to drive by "borrowing" her father's car—an early sign of her independence and determination.

After graduating, Pauline worked at Digitronics and Redactron, where she met Frank. They married in May 1967 and began their life together in a Levitt house on Long Island. With vision, teamwork, and help from talented family carpenters, they added a second floor to their home, creating a warm and welcoming space where they spent the first 12 years of their marriage.

In 1979, her family moved to Clinton, Connecticut, and it was there that Pauline became something of a local legend. Known lovingly as "Mamma Guidi" or "Mrs. G," she devoted herself to the Morgan School community—leading the Booster Club, working in the cafeteria, attending PTA meetings, photographing sporting events, and cheering on all the kids as if they were her own. She fed generations of students with her beloved Italian pasta and famous chocolate chip pancakes, but more importantly, she fed their spirits. Pauline was a trusted confidante, a fierce advocate, and a warm presence for any child who needed encouragement, honesty, or unconditional care. To her Clinton family, "Mrs. G" was unforgettable—and deeply loved.

After relocating to Texas in 1998, Pauline never stopped nurturing the relationships she had built in Clinton. Through cards, phone calls, messages, and memories, she stayed closely connected until her final days. Distance never diminished her love of the people and place she called home.

Above all else, Pauline adored being a grandmother. Her grandchildren were her pride, her joy, and her greatest delight. She followed their lives with excitement, celebrated their accomplishments big and small, and offered endless encouragement, warmth, and affection. Whether through stories, laughter, advice, or simply being present, she made each grandchild feel deeply known and profoundly loved. Being "Grandma" was one of her most treasured roles, and she embraced it with her whole heart.

Pauline's love was unconditional and she will be greatly missed by all who had to the extreme pleasure of knowing and being loved by her.

Pauline was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Clara Nigrelli; her husband, Frank; and her son, Jeffrey.

She is survived by her daughters, Christina Gaudino and son-in-law, Franco, and Pamela Guidi; her cherished grandchildren, Melany and Vanessa Gaudino, Zachariah and Aiden Guidi. She is also survived by her brother, Frank Nigrelli and wife, Genevieve; her sister-in-law, Josephine Keller and husband, Michael; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
