Jan 27, 1942 — Jun 10, 2026
Ralph H Bazan, a cherished husband, father and veteran, passed away peacefully at home Wednesday, June 10, 2026, surrounded by his family.
Ralph was born on January 27, 1942, in Hudson, North Carolina. Ralph's life was a tapestry woven with dedication, love, and a spirit of adventure that touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. Ralph's early years with his grandparents were marked with a deep love of family. He served his country with honor, first in the US Army and later in the US Air Force, where he retired as Master Sergeant. As a Vietnam veteran, Ralph's resilience and courage were a testament to his character, earning him the respect and admiration of his fellow servicemen and women.
Following his military career, he dedicated himself to law enforcement in the state of Florida. He served as a State Police Officer, Chief of Police in Cedar Grove and a Florida State Trooper. His quick wit and firm handshake became trademarks of his approach to public service, reflecting his commitment to protecting and serving with integrity and compassion.
Ralph was a man of many talents. His artistic flair was evident in his talent as a painter. He delighted many with his voice, singing with a warmth that resonated in the hearts of his listeners. Ralph was also a published author.
He leaves behind his devoted wife, Meg; his children, Vickie, Kent and Terrie; stepchildren, Debbie, Lowell and Yvette. Ralph instilled in them a strong work ethic and enduring family values.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donation be made to St. Judes Children's hospital.
The family extends their deepest gratitude to the caring staff at Community Healthcare of Texas, whose dedication and kindness provided comfort during Ralph's final days. A special thank you to Jessica, whose compassion will never be forgotten.
No services are planned for Ralph, but a celebration of life will be held later in Pahrump, Neveda.
