Ramona Gail Babington, age 82, of Saginaw, Texas, passed away peacefully in her home Saturday, October 2, 2026.
Celebration of Life: 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., Saturday, October 24, 2026 at Willow Creek Park, Saginaw, Texas. An alternate location will be available in case of inclement weather.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Mona's memory to local animal shelters or the Humane Society of North Texas to honor her compassionate heart.
Born July 21, 1944, in Rumford, Maine, Mona was the cherished daughter of Bertron and Myrna Holt (Hawkes). A dedicated and hardworking professional, she made a lasting impact on countless colleagues and customers throughout a successful career at Sears that spanned over 30 years.
Mona was best known for her profound compassion, fierce loyalty, and adventurous spirit. She lived life to the absolute fullest, whether she was traveling the world with her close friends and family or dancing the night away with her husband. While she relocated to Texas in 2019, her heart will always remain in Kentucky, where she spent the majority of her life and built beautiful memories. She found great joy in the simple pleasures of gardening and reading, but nothing compared to the time spent with her family, especially during their treasured holiday gatherings at the family farm in Harrodsburg, Kentucky.
She was reunited in Heaven with her beloved parents; her two dear sisters, Gloria and Diane; and her devoted husband, William Babington.
Mona’s legacy of love lives on through her family. She is survived by her son, Kyle Metivier and his wife, Kelli; her grandson, Chase Metivier; her stepdaughter, Wendy Davidson and her husband, Marshall; and her grandchildren, Kim McFarland, Brandon McCormick, Whitney Stroud, Matthew Davidson, Casey Franke, and Kris Grijalva; her caring niece, Lisa Horsefall, and will be a watchful guardian angel over her 13 great-grandchildren.
