Obituary

Raymond Larry White, 77, of Fort Worth, Texas, passed away peacefully Thursday, January 29, 2026, surrounded by family.

Born in Atoka, Oklahoma, on June 3, 1948, Raymond believed that just about anything could be built, fixed, or figured out with enough patience and the right tools. He worked in the exhibits and models department at Lockheed Martin, where his creativity and craftsmanship were well known.

Known for his simple but effective advice, Raymond had a talent for cutting through problems and reminding people that most things didn't need to be complicated. He was steady, dependable, and always showed up when it mattered.

Outside of work, he was always building, tinkering, or solving problems. If something broke, he didn't replace it — he fixed it. Raymond was a father who believed in learning by doing. When one of his sons wanted a trampoline the family couldn't afford, Raymond didn't say no. He said, "Let's figure it out." That led to early weekend mornings at the lake collecting cans and bottles. It turned out to be fun, it paid off, and the trampoline was earned — not given and the lesson lasted far longer than the trampoline ever did.

Raymond found the love of his life and married Avis on July 28, 2004. Together they built a life filled with simple joys. They loved being outdoors, tending plants, yard projects, watching clouds drift by, and catching sunrises and sunsets whenever they could. Whether working on a project inside or out, listening to music, or just spending time with family, they enjoyed the kind of everyday moments that quietly add up to a beautiful life.

He is survived by his wife, Avis; his sons, Stephen and Michael; cousin, Carolyn Lynch, half-brothers, Andy White and Danny Day, who will forever hear his calm voice offering practical guidance — whether they asked for it or not. His family was his greatest pride and accomplishment.

In keeping with Raymond's wishes, there will be no traditional funeral. He never cared much for them and certainly wouldn't want to be the center of one. Instead, family and friends will gather for a celebration of life — a time for stories, laughter, and remembering a man who would much rather be known for how he lived than how he left.

He will be remembered with love, gratitude, and more than a few good stories — exactly the way he would have wanted.
