Rex Dale Schardein, 49, passed away Friday, April 1, 2016, at his home. Service: 2 p.m. Tuesday at Biggers Funeral Chapel. Visitation: The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until service time. Following the service, friends are invited to join the family at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 300 Ridgecrest Drive in Saginaw. Mr. Schardein, an area resident for over 20 years, worked at Bell Helicopter. He moved here from Oklahoma, but he was still an avid OU fan. He was a physical trainer and worked with several professional athletes. Survivors include: His wife, Linda Haskell Schardein; siblings, Max Schardein and wife, Debra, Vicki Kokotan and Becky Swann; stepchildren, Christie Bogan, Martha Fesler, Paul Blankenburg and Rebekah Smith; 11 grandchildren; and a large extended family.
