Richard Leroy Bailey, age 89, passed away May 30, 2022 in Decatur, Texas Graveside Service: 1:00 pm, Wednesday, June 8, 2022 at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. Visitation: 6:00 to 8:00 pm, Friday, June 3, 2022 at Biggers Funeral Home. Richard was born January 13, 1933 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Clarence "Jack" and Martha Minerva Priscilla (Towe) Bailey. He joined the Air Force and served time in Korea. Richard was married to Modine Lavern Jones and together they had four boys, Richard, Rod, Randy and Ryan. Richard loved playing golf and was a marshal at the golf course in Azle, Texas. He was in the newspaper business for forty plus years and was a devoted husband, dad and grandfather. He will be dearly missed by his family and all those who knew him. Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Mattie Bailey; his wife, Modine Bailey and his son, Randy Bailey. He is survived by his three sons, Richard Bailey, Rod Bailey and Ryan Bailey and his wife, Shannon; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and sisters, Alta James and Shirley Speir.
