Richard Allen Ellis, 61, passed away Easter Sunday, March 27, 2016. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 2, at Benbrook United Methodist Church, 1122 Bryant St., Benbrook. Flowers may be sent to the church. Born July 21, 1954, in Nashville, Arkansas, he graduated from Nashville High School and attended the University of Central Arkansas. He earned an associate electronics degree from Southern State University in Camden. He worked as a senior engineer in the Simulation and Systems Integration Laboratories at Lockheed Martin Aeronautics for 38 years, focusing on multiple aircraft programs, including the F-111, F-16, F-22 and F-35. He was preceded in death by his grandparents and his father, Sam Richard Ellis. Richard is survived by his wife of 30 years, Cindy Ellis; mother, Carolyn Wilson Ellis; sister, Laura Ellis Montgomery and husband, Greg; nephew, Gregory Mack Montgomery and wife, Ashley; and niece, Molly Montgomery Kennedy and husband, Travis
