Richard Alex Moore, age 63, passed away Sunday, September 6, 2026.

Rick was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend who loved his family deeply.

He was born November 5, 1962, in Huntsville, Alabama to the late Willie and Joan Moore.

Rick was a devoted husband to Liz, his wife of 36 years and a loving father to Nia Irene Hernandez and Cassandra Kaylee Welter.  He was a proud grandfather to Michael I. Moore, Jayden and Ryan Hernandez, and Brittney Welter. 

He had a long career in sales, but when he was not working, one of the places he loved most was the golf course.  When he was physically able, you could find him golfing nearly every weekend.  He also enjoyed taking trips up north, where he especially enjoyed playing the slots.

Rick was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Joan Moore.

He is survived by his loving wife, Liz Moore; daughters, Nia Irene Hernandez and husband, Eloy, Cassandra Kaylee Welter and husband, Tommy; grandchildren, Michael I. Moore, Jayden and Ryan Hernandez, and Brittney Welter; sister, Barbie Lee and husband, Jessie; brother, David Moore; and his loving nieces and nephews.

Rick will be deeply missed by is family, friends, and all those who knew and loved him.
