Robert N. Clark

Sadness prevails over the ending of this year, with the passing of Robert Neal "Bob" Clark.

Mass of Christian Burial:  10:00 A.M., Wednesday, December 13, 2023, Saint Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church.

Interment: 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery.

Robert was born in Somers, NY on April 12, 1938.  He graduated from Somers Central High School in 1958.  Shortly afterwards he was drafted into the U.S. Army Signal Corps and shipped off to Orleans, France.  Bob was a proud Army Veteran who served from 1961 to 1963.  He was honorably discharged to the west coast, where he studied Radiology at LA City College and received Male Student of the Year.

After graduating he went to work for UCLA Medical Center, where he met the love of his life.  And so began their over 50-year love story!  Their relationship was rooted in a deep mutual love of the Lord. Bob and Dottie adopted two sons, Bob was a doting and always involved father.  He believed in preparing his children for the world and did so by being the example of what a father and a man should be.  Whether it was coaching a team for his sons in the little free time he had or leading the boy scouts on a camping trip, he did it all with love.  Bob was a pillar in the church community and regularly did the readings during Sunday services at Our Lady of Guadalupe.  His devotion to the Lord is the reason that his son Christopher has said that his faith is so profound.

After both Bob and Dottie retired, they moved to Texas to be closer to their family and transitioned to full time grandparents.  Bob's love and devotion never wavered for his grandkids.  Bob enjoyed watching and fostering their growth into the amazing men and women that he had always prayed they would be.  He was so proud of all the

children that were and are lucky enough to call him Papa.

He is survived by his wife of over 50 years, Dorothy Elizabeth Clark, and their two sons, Matthew J. Clark and Christopher M. Clark, as well as his three sisters and seven grandchildren.
