Robert L. Gordon III, 78, passed away on Wednesday, February 19, 2025 in Fort Worth, Texas.

Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, 1:00PM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Coronado, CA.

Committal Service with Military Honors:  1:00 p.m., Thursday, April 10, 2025 at Miramar National Cemetery, 5795  Nobel Dr., San Diego, California 92122.

He was born February 10, 1947 in Urbana, Illinois to Robert L. Gordon Jr. and Juanita Jean Adams (Gordon). He graduated from Urbana High School in 1965, then served in the U.S. Navy as an Aviation Electrician serving on the USS Kitty Hawk and is a Vietnam Veteran. After serving in the Navy, he graduated from San Diego State University and worked as an Electrical Engineer for various Engineering firms and for the Department of Navy as a contractor until his retirement.

He is survived by his wife, Florence; daughter, Lisa (Dave) Hunt; granddaughter, Arielle Tyler all from Dallas, Texas; sister, Leslie Gordon (Harry) Goss of Indianapolis, Indiana; nephews, Kurt (Crystal) Djordjevic of Savoy, Illinois and Karl (Jamie) Djordjevic; great nephew, Karlchen Djordjevic; and great niece, Katavena Djordjevic all from Seattle, Washington.

He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Marla Djordjevic.
