Obituary

July 29, 1984 – July 21, 2025

Roger Dale Aliff departed this life on Monday, July 21, 2025, in Fort Worth.

Celebration of His Life: 2:00 – 4:30 pm, Saturday, August 2, 2025 in Biggers Funeral Home, 6100 Azle Avenue, Lake Worth, Texas 76135.

Roger was a lifelong resident of the Fort Worth area and a graduate of Lake Worth High School in 2002. Roger was a little ball of endless energy and to expend some of this energy his mom enrolled him in peewee baseball and football, he excelled and continued his legendary status all the way through high school.

As an adult Roger tried his hand at many different career choices but his favorite by far was working on the drilling rig. It was hard work, but the pay made up for it. This career choice took him to places like New Mexico, but the majority was in far west Texas where he worked his way up from grunt to driller. Later in life Roger developed a love for Harley Davidson motorcycles with almost certainty this stemmed from his mom, Brenda, dad, Harold, and grandfather, John. A little wind therapy somehow clears your mind and Roger felt that.

Roger's life was not without struggle or hard times, yet he persevered. It is the good times we will remember, things such as a game of yard darts with Cash that could have ended so much worse, the constant tormenting of a young Trevor that was done out of love, working on the rig with Uncle Ronnie, skateboarding with his cousin James with their blonde tipped hair in their JNCO jeans. These memories and many others are the ones we will carry with us.

Roger blessed his mama's life for 40 years and in turn he blessed many others with his son, Seth and daughter, Henslee. While their time with him was cut tragically short we must always try to remember the good times and share those with them every chance we get.

Roger was preceded in death by his mother, Brenda Schoonover; maternal grandparents, John and Mabel Tobin; and paternal grandfather, John Beers.

He is survived by his son, Roger Seth Dale (Ceres); a daughter, Henslee Marie; granddaughters, Maiana Isabel and Kalena-Li Tobin; father/Pops, Harold Schoonover; paternal grandmother, Ruth Beers; sisters, Lauren Aliff and Shae Aliff; brother, Justin Schoonover; several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
