Roger W. Searcy, 51, passed away Friday, Aug. 17, 2012. Funeral: 3 p.m. Tuesday in Biggers Funeral Chapel. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Biggers Funeral Home. Roger was born Jan. 18, 1961, in Lubbock, to Max and Charlene Searcy. He was raised in Springtown and was a 1979 graduate of Springtown High School. He married Patty Holbrook on June 14, 1986, in Azle and was a firefighter and paramedic for the Richland Hills Fire Dept. for 15 years before his retirement in 2001. He was preceded in death by his mother, Charlene Searcy, and his grandparents. Survivors include his wife of 26 years, Patty Searcy of Jacksboro; sons, Brian and Zach, both of Azle, and Jeromy of Houston; daughters, Amy of Amarillo and Misty of Plano; father, Max Searcy of Springtown; sister, Carolyn Watkins and husband, Jack, of Tomball; six grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
