Obituary

Ronald Quentin Kosier, 78, of Fort Worth, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, August 5, 2025.

Ron grew up in Sterling, Illinois, where he showed an early entrepreneurial spirit. As a pre-teen, he took on every opportunity he could find—mowing lawns, shoveling snow, painting houses, and managing his own paper route. During high school, he also worked at the local music store, combining his love of music with a strong work ethic.

After graduating, Ron moved to Chicago, Illinois, and attended DeVry University. He later settled in Fort Worth, Texas, where he built a long and varied career. Over the years, he worked for several notable companies, including Radio Shack, General Dynamics, RTEC, Gearhart Industries, Elbit, BAE Systems, Bell Helicopter, and Abbotec Inc.

Ron had a lifelong passion for classic cars and hot rods. He enjoyed watching NASCAR and drag racing, listening to music, and engaging in good conversation. His family and friends would say he never met a stranger—his warmth and friendliness left a lasting impression on everyone he met.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents, John and Margaret Kosier; his beloved wife of 33 years, Patricia Kosier.

He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Wendy and Sterling Eakin; his brother, TJ Kosier; and lovingly remembered by many cherished extended family members and friends.

A small graveside service will be held at a later date.
