Ronnie Bob Whitaker, retired U.S. Army major, joined our Lord in heaven Friday, October 3, 2014. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 11, at Living Water Church, 109 S. Roberts Cutoff in Fort Worth. Committal with military honors will be in Boyd Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Biggers Funeral Home. Ronnie Bob Whitaker was born June 21, 1947, in Fort Worth. He joined the United States Army at the age of 29 years and proudly served his country until retirement in 1994. He is survived by his mother, Glenella Whitaker; brother, Jimmy Whitaker and wife, Bertie; extended family, Jimmy Whitaker Jr., Bridget Harley and son, Jager, and Tim Whitaker, his wife, Carol, and their children, Toby and Cheyenne, all of Fort Worth.
