Roscoe Lee Byrd made his final cruise to Heaven, Saturday, May 11, 2024 while surrounded by his family.

Memorial Service: 10:00 a.m., Friday, May 31, 2024 at Biggers Funeral Home, 6100 Azle Avenue, Fort Worth, Texas to celebrate Roscoe's life.

He was born January 18, 1937 to Roscoe C and Ethel J Phelps Byrd in Helena, Montana. He grew up on a working farm and ranch in Laurel and then moved to Billings.

He enlisted in the Navy after graduating high school and retired after 25 years. He earned the National Defense Service Medal, 6 Good Conduct Awards, Vietnam Service Meatal w/Silver Star, Vietnam Campaign Medal w/Device 60, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, 2 Navy Unit Commendation Awards and the Sea Service Ribbon w/Bronze Star.

He married the love of his life, Judy, on December 28, 1958. They enjoyed golfing, traveling, and spoiling their Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren. Roscoe loved Judy until the day he died.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Judith Diane Hawley Byrd, who died December 22, 2012 and his parents, Roscoe C Byrd and Ethel Joyce Phelps Byrd.

Roscoe is survived by Brenda Lindberg Taylor and spouse, Terry, Tammie Andrews and spouse, Steve. grandchildren, Ray Byrd, Stephen Andrews and wife, Melanie, DianaLee Andrews Dunn and husband, Jeff, Kristopher Pickering, Michael Andrews and wife, Brielle; great-grandchildren, Alicia Pickering, Abby Andrews, Sophia Andrews, ElleeAnn Dunn, Priscilla Dunn, Hunter Andrews, Duke Andrews, Adeline Pickering, Aubrey Pickering, William Andrews and Wren Andrews; and his sister, Margie Funk and husband, Bud.
