Ruth M. Glawson, 94, fell asleep in the arms of her beloved Lord Jesus Christ on Saturday, March 3, 2012, at a local hospice. Graveside service: 2:30 p.m. Thursday March 15, 2012 in Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio. Visitation: The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday March 13, 2012 at Biggers Funeral Home. Ruth was born March 25, 1917, in Cartersville, Ga. She was a wonderful mother and beloved grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. She loved life, her family, friends and everyone she ever met. She was a dedicated Christian lady who loved helping people. She will be missed by all who knew her and loved her. Survivors include her brother, Ray Milam and wife, Geraldine, of Cartersville, Ga.; son, James Glawson and wife, Brenda; daughter, Sara Goff and husband, Richard; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren, with five more on the way.
