Ruth Supulver, 95, passed away on March 22, 2016 surrounded by loving family. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, March 24, in Eastland Cemetery in Eastland. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Ruth was born on December 21, 1920 in Desdemona, to Jack and Aurora Donowho. She attended public school in Ranger. Ruth came from a large family of seven siblings who preceded her in death: six brothers, Thurman Donowho of Houston, Bill Donowho of Sheffield, Joe Donowho of Hurst, Dan Donowho of Denison, Everett Donowho of Denton, and Calvin Donowho of Alvin, and one sister, Opal Swaim of Denison. She married Sidney Elvis Supulver in August 1940 in Olden, Texas and he preceded her in death in October 1995. Ruth is survived by son, Richard Supulver and wife, Mary Lee of Houston; daughters, Barbara Golden and husband, Jack of Hurst, and Opal Morgan and husband, Jerry of Indianapolis, Indiana. She has seven grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and numerous great-great-grandchildren. She most recently resided in the loving home of her granddaughter, Pam Morgan.
