Sam Sun Reichelt, 80, passed away peacefully on January 25, 2026. Born on April 10, 1945, in Korea, Sam lived a life full of flavor, laughter, and deep devotion to her family.

She later made her home in Fort Worth, where she lived in the same beloved house since the 1970s. It was there that she built not just a home, but a gathering place filled with warmth, stories, and the comforting smell of her incredible Korean cooking. Her kitchen was her love language, and her grandchildren will forever remember meals made with care — and her famously funny pronunciation that could turn any ordinary moment into laughter. "Stupin," she would say, in a way only she could.

Sam was an entrepreneur and proud small business owner. Alongside her partners and dear friends, Ann and Uni, she owned and operated a donut shop that became a meaningful part of her life and community. She worked hard, loved generously, and never lost her playful spirit.

She had a zest for life that showed up everywhere — from her love of bingo and a little gambling fun, to her fondness for enjoying a warm bowl of pho. She carried both strength and sweetness with her, shaped by her journey that once took her back to Korea with her first husband and her young daughter.

Above all else, Sam loved her family. She is survived by her daughter, Melody Wallace, and her cherished grandchildren, Blayne Wallace and Christopher Head. Being a grandmother was one of her greatest joys. Her kindness, humor, and fierce love will continue to live on in them.

Sam's life was one of resilience, generosity, and warmth. She built a legacy not in grand gestures, but in shared meals, laughter-filled rooms, and a home that always welcomed those she loved. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
