On January 30, 2017, the Lord welcomed Sammie Jane (Hannie) Watson, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, home to join her loving husband and other family members in heaven. There will be a celebration of her life at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, February 25, 2017 in Biggers Funeral Chapel. Sammie was born on May 10, 1938 in Fort Worth to Bud and Jane Hannie. She married Donald Carol Watson on April 22, 1955 in Saginaw. Sammie and Don raised their family in Azle where she operated Sammie Watson Real Estate until her retirement. After retiring, they enjoyed spending time in Gunnison, Colorado and Rockport in South Texas. Sammie was preceded in death by Don on August 23, 2016 after 62 years of marriage. Survivors include her son, Ron Watson and wife, Julie of Rockport; daughter, Sandy Martin and husband, Jerry of Grapevine; grandson, Clay Martin of Grapevine; sister, Jody Felty and family of Weatherford; brother, Ricky Carver and wife, Jodi of Azle.
